All journey’s begin with the initial connection between prospective clients and their point of contact within the collective. This part of the process is more informal, to determine suitability for services, and assess chemistry prior to beginning "official" journey preparations.
Trip Hōm's psychedelic risk reduction coaching model (see below) is designed to guide prospective journeyers through a comprehensive and safe psychedelic experience.
Our framework is meticulously crafted to ensure safety, readiness, and personalized support covering all phases of the process, from initial consultations, preparation sessions, and follow-up integration sessions.
It's important to understand this "standardized" process is not rigid; it is intentionally flexible to accommodate the unique needs, preferences, and circumstances of each journeyer.
Each journey is conducted in the client's preferred setting, usually their home, but other venues can be accommodated as needed.
Two Free Consultation Sessions (facilitated by your Journey Coordinator).
First Consultation: approximately 15-30 minutes, conducted virtually or in-person, and is followed by our pre-screening process to assess suitability for services, and determine client readiness.
Second Consultation: approximately 30-45 minutes, conducted virtually or in-person, and is followed by our comprehensive screening prior to finalizing your journey programming.
Assignment of Dyad.
After the Second Consultation: A dyad, consisting of two guides, is assigned to support the journeyer through all preparation sessions, the medicine session, and all integration sessions.
Three Preparation Sessions (which marks the beginning of the paid portion of the process).
Virtual: 2 sessions, each lasting 45-60 minutes, conducted virtually within 6 weeks of the journey day. These sessions focus on cultivating intention and readying the client mindset.
In-Person: 1 session, lasting 45-60 minutes, conducted the night before the journey. This session includes final altar preparations, communal conversation, and finalizing journey preparations with the dyad and any pre-designated support persons.
Also known as “Journey Day.”
Duration: Depending on the medicine’s being used, typically lasts 6-8 hours for the psychedelic experience, and includes various supportive practices (cleansing/smudging, aromatherapy, and music).
Communal Meal: After the journey, a meal is shared between the guides, journeyer, and any chosen support persons, to facilitate initial reflection and grounding.
Role of the Dyad: Continuous support throughout the journey, offering guidance, reassurance, and ensuring safety.
Three Integration Sessions.
In-Person: 1 in-person session, lasting 45-60 minutes, conducted the day after the journey, to begin processing the experience. This session may include support persons if chosen by the journeyer.
Virtual: 2 virtual sessions, each lasting 45-60 minutes, conducted virtually within 6 weeks after the journey. These sessions focus on deeper integration of the journey insights into the journeyer's daily life.
The incorporation of a dyad and community support into the psychedelic journey process underscores the importance of safety, trust, and a supportive network in facilitating healing and growth. Preparation and integration sessions are pivotal in setting intentions, providing guidance, and ensuring the journey's benefits are fully realized, and integrated into the journeyer's life. This structured approach ensures a holistic and transformative experience for the journeyer, supported by a community that understands and values their journey.
